MY FRIEND BUD JORDAHL

May 12, 2010
I was saddened to learn of the passing of one of the icons in Wisconsin’s environmental protection history, Harold “Bud” Jordahl, a member of the Wisconsin Conservation Hall of Fame. He made a lasting impression on Wisconsin with involvement in projects from Earth Day to the Apostle Island National Lakeshore. He also was a strong supporter of the Riverway project. I considered him to be a mentor and a friend. Bud will long be remembered by many. Excerpts from a speech he gave at the 20 year anniversary of the We’ve lost a good man.
