Homeland Security: Tactical EMS Training Equipment (2010) Web Posted: 9/4/2012 Program Area: Homeland Security Grant Title: HS Tactical EMS (TEMS) Training Equipment Description: This project will promote the education of tactical medical providers in the state by providing equipment necessary to provide high-fidelity, realistic training. This project would support an ongoing statewide tactical medical education initiative and would include the procurement of training equipment, supplies and props. The training equipment would be used by TEMS training participants and instructors. Opportunity Category: Limited Eligibility Important Dates: Grant funds will begin on October 1, 2012 and expire on April 31, 2013. Anticipated Funding Amount: The total amount of funding to be awarded is $40,000. The duration for the funding is 7 months. This is a one-time funding opportunity. Match/Cost Sharing Requirement: None Eligibility: Only the Waukesha County Technical College is eligible to apply for this funding. Eligible Expenses: Funding may be used for eligible expenses associated with, however not limited to the procurement of training equipment, props, and supplies for hosting TEMS training classes. All expenses must be new and cannot replace existing state or local government funding. Substitution of existing funds with federal grants (supplanting) will be the subject of monitoring and audit. Violations may result in a range of penalties, including suspension of current and future funds under this program, suspension or debarment from federal grants, repayment of monies provided under a grant, and civil and/or criminal penalties.
